Overpopulation? Let’s Do Some Maths.

As far back as I can remember I have come across people who claim that the world is overpopulated and that wars famine and disease are therefore beneficial since they cull the human race on this overpopulated planet.

Some time ago a friend brought up this subject and I was prompted to do a few sums. I thought that it would be interesting to calculate what space, in terms of some familiar land mass, would be taken up by the global population standing together shoulder to shoulder.

The result was quite an eye-opener!

The current total world population of 8 billion people (8,000,000,000) standing together would fit onto the island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands just off the northwest coast of Africa. See image below.

The simple calculation used:

1/4 square metre was allowed for each person’s standing space.

Therefore the total area taken by the world’s population standing together would be:

8,000,000,000 x 0.25 square metres:

= 2,000,000,000 (2 billion) square metres

= 2,000 square kilometers.

The area of Tenerife is 2,034 square kilometers.

Another friend suggested that it might be interesting to calculate just how much land would be available for say a family of four if the land mass of planet earth was divided up equally.

Well let’s have a look. The total area of the world is 510,072,000 sq km but only 29% of that area is land since the remainder is water.

Area of land = 510,072,000 X 29%

= 147,920,880 Sq km.

Then we need to take into account that only 71% of this land mass is habitable, the other 29% is covered by glaciers or barren land – deserts, dry salt flats, beaches, sand dunes and exposed rock.

= 147,920,880 Sq km X 71%

= 105,023,825 Sq km of habitable land.

With the current world population of 8 billion that would work out at 0.013 sq km per person (3.21 acres. 1.3 hectare.)

Multiply by 4 people for an average family and we arrive at a figure of 0.052 square kilometers per family of four. (12.85 acres, 5.2 hectare.)

Of course this is a hypothetical scenario and the calculations are purely to give an indication as to whether or not the world is overpopulated.

According to the United Nations (UN) the global population will peak at around 10.4 billion people in the 2080s and remain at that level until 2100 when it will start to fall.

That’s a projected increase of around 25% of today’s population of 8 billion.

Now 2100 is a long way away, but assuming that the UN are correct with their estimates then the world population standing shoulder to shoulder at the turn of next century in 2100 would take up no more space then two of the Canary Islands – Tenerife and La Palma.

Self-appointed world doctor Bill Gates, and his partner in crime, Melinda, have a vested interest in promoting the overpopulation myth. The Gates want to cull the world population and Bill has no qualms about voicing his evil desires on camera. In the past three years we have seen evidence of the huge amount of deaths and adverse health effects as a result of his so-called Covid-19 ‘vaccination’ programme – well culled Bill!

The Gates are not the only lunatic mass murderers, there are many other of this low-life eugenicist species. Some alternative journalists have speculated that the mysterious Georgia Guidestones, a large six-piece granite monument atop a desolate hill 90 miles east of Atlanta USA. which was commissioned In 1979 by someone called R. C. Christian, are about eugenics.

Georgia Guidestones

Ten guidelines are inscribed on the monument in eight different modern languages. Opponents of this monument have labelled the guidelines as the “Ten Commandments of the Antichrist”.

The reason for this speculation is due to the sentiment of the first of the ten guidelines which reads:

“Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.”

Georgia Guidestones – first guideline.

In order to achieve this goal, seven and a half billion people would need to be ‘removed’.

Regardless of these guidestones and whatsoever message they are there to convey, those with an evil agenda to reduce the world population will continue to spread their ‘world overpopulation’ fear-porn to scare people into accepting their evil plan. But they won’t fool wide-awake folk.

As I have shown, there is plenty of land and space for all the good people on planet earth to live comfortably, and there’s no threat whatsoever of our world becoming overpopulated – not even in the next 100 years!

So if you ever get into a conversation about world population with some doomsday pundit, just tell them to do the maths.

Oh.. . . and don’t forget to mention all those billions of folk standing shoulder to shoulder on that Spanish island just off the northwest coast of Africa.

NB. I have used the metric system of measurement since it is the most widely used around the Globe. I have converted some measurements to acres and hectares. There are many good convertion sites for those who need to convert to other measurement systems. One particularly good one is UnitConverters.net https://www.unitconverters.net/area-converter.html
